Job Overview

An Application Engineer is responsible for implementing, supporting, maintaining, and improving business applications to ensure they meet organizational needs. The role acts as a bridge between business users, vendors, and technical teams by providing technical support, troubleshooting issues, managing system configurations, and participating in application enhancement and implementation projects.

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide day-to-day support for business applications and ensure system availability.

2. Diagnose and resolve application incidents, bugs, and user-reported issues within agreed SLAs.

3. Configure, test, and deploy application updates, patches, and new features.

4. Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

5. Coordinate with software vendors and internal development teams to resolve complex issues.

6. Perform system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and quality assurance activities.

7. Monitor application performance and recommend improvements for stability and efficiency.

Qualifications & Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.

2. Experience supporting enterprise applications.

3. Knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile/Waterfall).

4. Relevant certifications (Microsoft, ITIL, Oracle, SAP, or application-specific certifications) are a plus.
